I just got a Nook Color and tried to view free books and cannot open them. My device brings up a message that says I have to have a credit card added....and all I want right now are the free books. Any help would be appreciated.

In order to set up the initial account they require you to put in credit card info. It's more of an identification thing than anything else. They don't actually charge your account unless you make a purchase. Free books won't get charged but to set up the acct you still need a credit card.
